Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides are now fully optimized for iPhone X, ensuring seamless display and integration with the device's notch. No more black bars at the top and bottom of the interface.
Google extends complete Office app support to iPhone X users
In addition, Google also announced they have fully added support for iOS 11, fixed bugs, and improved performance, so users' devices running the latest iOS version will experience better performance when using Google apps.
Last but not least, an important tweak for iPad users. Google has enabled tablets running iOS 11, allowing users to drag and drop content from other apps.
Gmail still lacks support for iPhone X
Despite Google's updates announcing full support for Office apps on iPhone X not receiving user endorsement yet, it's no surprise. Google still has much to do to optimize all apps for iPhone X. A prime example is Gmail, one of the leading email apps on iPhones, which now includes black bars at the top and bottom as the app doesn't support iPhone X and its notch.
This invisibility factor has led many iPhone X users to switch to third-party email apps or even configure their Google accounts using the Mail app in iOS. Therefore, Google should promptly provide Gmail updates that fully support iPhone X as soon as possible.
It won't be long before Gmail gets updated, optimized, and fully supported for iPhone X.
To enhance the user experience on Windows, Microsoft developers recently added a new feature to Windows 10 Sets that allows users to group apps and websites into a single window, making it easier for users to manage and use the apps they're currently using.
