The downfall of Google Drive has been in the spotlight for the past few months. Earlier this year, Google announced its plan to consolidate synchronization apps for files and data on computers into a new application.
The new Backup and Sync application provides sensible solutions for both Google Drive and Google Photos. In addition to facilitating the integration of these services, this new application features a simpler interface and can back up files from USB-connected devices.

Google will intensify the promotion of its new Backup and Sync application throughout October. It appears that Backup and Sync is an upgraded application succeeding the old Google Drive application.

With the new application, you can configure various settings, such as photo upload quality, file deletion policies, and define upload and download ratios.
In the photo upload quality settings, there are some additional options: original quality images will count towards drive storage usage, while high-quality settings will not.
Currently, you can still utilize Google Drive on your computer as usual. If one Google Drive account isn't sufficient, feel free to use more than two Google Drive accounts simultaneously on your computer.
Starting now, if you still wish to use Google Drive services, proceed to download and use Google Drive on your iPhone or Android devices. The usage of Google Drive on mobile is generally similar to its usage on a computer, so there's no need to worry.
