Over the past year, the sales of virtual assistant-integrated headphones, such as Google Assistant, have seen a remarkable surge. This is not only due to the success of Pixel Buds but also because manufacturers have added features for accessing notifications and performing Google searches with just a press on Android devices. Good news for all users of headphones and Android devices integrated with Google Assistant – they now support real-time Google Translate.
Discovered first by Droid-Life, the support page for Pixel Buds has recently been updated, providing new notifications about the availability of the Google Translate feature on all Assistant-integrated headphones and supported Android phones. Previously, this feature was exclusive to Pixel Buds for pairing with Pixel or Pixel 2.
At that time, Google explained that this was an exclusive feature for Pixel devices due to the need for audio routing. Just a year later, the feature became available on all Google Assistant-integrated headphones and Android devices running 6.0 Marshmallow or later.
To initiate translation, simply press and hold the Assistant button on the headphones and say: 'Help me translate into English' or any of the 40 supported languages, including:
Initiating this action opens Google Translate within a paired chat on your Android device. Begin conversing with other users on your Android device.

At the event held on 9/10, Made by Google unveiled the Pixel USB-C earbuds, smart headphones supporting real-time translation. Earlier in August, LG also introduced the Tone Platinum SE and Tone Ultra SE with the same feature.
