According to Google, the latest update of Google Docs improves the ability to insert images and Text Wrapping feature when you import PDF files. This way, you can seamlessly edit content within text associated with images.
Furthermore, the update also maintains various characteristics of the original file such as underline, strikethrough, background color, and font. The main advantage of maintaining formatting is that you no longer need to manually make changes to make the imported file resemble the source PDF.
Google Docs has also been supported with multi-column layouts, custom page sizes, bordered tables, and improved content sorting capabilities. You will notice these changes on the next occasion when you import a PDF file into Google Docs. All these formatting options will be highly beneficial for users who frequently import PDF files.
These changes are currently being rolled out to Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus customers, as well as customers of G Suite Basic, Business, Education, Enterprise for Education, and Nonprofits.
