Over the past few years, Google has utilized its expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence to assist English speakers in enhancing their writing skills. Now, the company is extending similar support to individuals who regularly write in Spanish.
Download and install the latest Google Docs app on your phone:
Now, Google Docs will provide grammar suggestions in both English and Spanish for users without the need for third-party extensions like Grammarly. The app will also automatically detect when you switch between the two languages and offer relevant suggestions in each language. As before, the feature will utilize machine translation to detect everything, from incorrect word choices to more serious errors.
In addition, Google announced that the Smart Compose feature will also come to Google Docs and support Spanish by the end of this year. The company introduced this feature for the first time in Gmail last year. Smart Compose suggests how to complete a sentence based on what you've written, helping you correct grammar and spelling errors, as well as cutting down on repetitive language. Similarly, Google is also planning to add support for Spanish to the automatic spell-check feature. As you might guess, the tool detects misspelled words you type, but it also leverages Google Search to learn words when they are used frequently in the text you write.
You won't be able to access Spanish grammar suggestions through your personal Google account because the company stated that they are rolling out this feature for G Suite users first. However, Google plans to expand more widely by the end of this year.
According to the information revealed, users on the social media platform Facebook are soon to experience a new feature related to predicting the future. Currently, Facebook is testing Forecast with a select group of users.
