The new grammar checking feature based on AI will work alongside the spell check feature already integrated into Google Docs, using Machine Learning algorithms to suggest grammar corrections as users type content. This feature is currently available to users enrolled in the Early Adopter Program.
Google Docs is enhanced with AI-based grammar checking
David Thacker, Vice President of Product Management for Google's G Suite, announced that the new feature is based on Machine Learning. In addition to checking and detecting grammar errors, the feature also utilizes translation-based methods to understand and rewrite content for users.
Currently, the AI-based grammar check feature is only available to G Suite users. The company has not disclosed plans to deploy the feature for all users yet.
