The latest Google Earth update allows measuring the distance between two locations and determining the area of a specific region through a new tool called the Measure Tool.
The new feature for measuring distances between two locations on Google Earth will be deployed on Chrome by the end of today, followed by the Android release later this week. In the not-so-distant future, the feature will also be available on iOS devices.
To utilize this feature, simply click on the Measure Tool icon. This action will open a new window where you can perform a variety of measurements, such as calculating the area of a specific region as shown below.
