Google faces multiple allegations regarding the functioning of its Incognito mode.

Incognito mode in browsers, particularly Google Chrome, is no stranger to users. When wanting to operate incognito on the internet, users often resort to this Incognito mode. However, Google is currently confronted with allegations from lawmakers that this mode is not truly private and that Google is still aware of users' activities.

Lawsuits against Google claim that the company has deceived users by presenting privacy while still collecting their data. Google's response is that when users use the browser, they have agreed to these terms and thus it is assumed they are aware Google collects data. However, lawmakers argue that Google's lengthy terms are practically unreadable, and Incognito mode does not equate to complete invisibility, as websites can still track activities.

The outcome of the lawsuit remains uncertain, but recently, Judge Lucy Koh rejected Google's request in this case. Hence, Google has no choice but to proceed with the lawsuit and faces the risk of losing, as the plaintiffs include numerous individuals, organizations, and lawmakers targeting Google. If it loses the lawsuit, Google will naturally have to compensate and adjust its operation of the Incognito mode. This could potentially impact Google's business operations.

However, do users truly understand their behavior when using the Incognito mode? Google may soon have to notify users about this mode, rather than burying it deep within lengthy terms and conditions that hardly anyone reads. Yet, this illustrates that nothing is entirely safe on the internet.
