Google is working on a new logo for its email platform, Gmail. The company has sent an image to 9To5Google, providing a glimpse of what's to come. Google also confirmed with Digital Trends that the image is authentic. This comes after the revamp of Gmail for G Suite customers, which began rolling out to users last month.
The new logo is still undergoing design. The black and white image shows the envelope icon replaced with the letter M with rounded corners. With features like Google Meet integrated with Gmail, this service is no longer just an email platform.
The final version is expected to completely remove the familiar red and white color and instead feature navy blue, green, yellow, and red - a palette that Google has recently adjusted for all its products and services, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Photos.

Google typically introduces new icons along with changes and upgrades to its services, so it's not difficult to imagine Gmail receiving new features and improvements whenever this icon is officially announced.
