Google launches trial version of Android 12L for foldable tablets and smartphones
Following the release of Android 12L Beta 1, Google has announced an additional update for Android 12L, which is designed to enhance user experience when using foldable tablets and smartphones. With the upgraded Android 12L, Google has integrated a split-screen layout into two columns (for devices with large screens, similar to multitasking but more convenient), allowing users to access more information simultaneously. Google is also striving to improve multitasking features to enable users to use apps in split-screen mode from the taskbar, as well as to quickly switch between apps.
Currently, both versions of Android 12L are designed for developers to preview. However, users can also opt to test the Beta 12L version on a different emulator. Google also mentioned that users will be able to install Android 12L on supported Pixel devices, including the Pixel 3A to Pixel 5A. Nevertheless, regular users still cannot use the Android 12L version on large-screen devices such as tablets or foldable smartphones.Source: Theverge
