Exactly a year ago, Google introduced useful enhancements for Google Lens at Google I/O, including the ability to view information about items on restaurant menus, accurately calculate tips by scanning bills, and more. Now, even without any events for Google developers, many new features are coming to the Google Lens app, this time focusing on information retrieval and productivity enhancements.
Firstly, users can now utilize Lens to copy text in real-time and paste it into their computers. After scanning handwritten text with Lens, you'll be able to copy it not only to your phone's clipboard but also to any computer running the latest Chrome version. Additionally, Google has rolled out another new feature for Lens, allowing users to accurately learn the pronunciation of specific words. Previously, Google Lens could translate text, but now it can also read foreign languages. So if you're struggling with pronouncing a word, this feature will come in handy for you.
Lastly, users can select scanned text and quickly search it on the internet, thanks to a new Search button. According to Google, 'With the new Google Search results, you can select complex words or phrases to quickly learn more about them.'
All features have been released, but the ability to read aloud text is currently only available on Android. iOS users will have to wait a little longer.
