If you happen to be one of these users, you can access the Contribute tab and create an event including descriptions, categories, and web links.
Notably, Google Maps restricts this new option to certain countries and regions, such as not being available in Canada. Clearly, these signs indicate that the new option is currently being test-deployed on selected users but has not been rolled out for all users globally. So, other users have to wait until Google deploys the latest Maps update to experience the new feature.
