The new features of Google Maps listed below have been deployed for a select few users. According to Android Police, the server-side update for Google Maps includes design enhancements and features announced at the 2018 Google I/O event, although the For You tab is still missing.
First up is a completely new tab introduced in the app called For You. This tab will display to users suggestions for places and businesses in their area, particularly new businesses and trends based on Google data.
If the For You tab doesn't impress you, the Trending this week tab displays other popular restaurants in the area you're searching for. Google has taken a further step in implementing machine learning with a feature called Your Match.
Your Match provides users with a percentage ratio of For You suggestions based on users' personal data and what Google knows about locations in their area.
Your Match is likely to be widely deployed in the near future. However, to address this question, we must wait until the feature is rolled out on the Android and iOS apps. According to Google, the feature is set to be deployed in the coming months.
Right now, you can download Google Maps for smoother navigation.

Google Maps has a quite useful feature of voice-guided navigation. This way, when we control traffic, our eyes will focus more on driving direction instead of staring at the phone. To use this feature, follow how to listen to Google Maps for voice-guided directions here.
