Google has just introduced a new capability for Google Meet, helping to identify common issues before joining a call. Currently, you can check whether video, audio, and internet connection are functioning properly before making a call or joining a meeting.
The new feature enables you to preview how you appear in video calls and ensure that video, as well as peripheral devices, are properly configured. For example, you can adjust lighting and seating position in front of the camera to get the best video quality. You can also troubleshoot connection issues if any before starting a Meet call.
