For those unaware, online meeting platforms like Zoom offer unlimited group calls with a monthly subscription fee. Although Google Meet falls into that category, this platform started offering free group call services last year to help people connect during social distancing. Subsequently, Meet garnered a significant user base in 2020.
However, as Google is currently mentioning on its Google Meet pricing page, Meet users utilizing this platform as a free service now have limited calls to one hour. The free unlimited time group video call service on Meet ended last month.
According to Mytour findings, 1-1 video calls on Meet will still be provided for free to users. So, if you initiate a private call on Meet, you'll be able to extend the chat time up to 24 hours at no cost.
So, if you want to make unlimited time Google Meet group calls, you may consider upgrading to the Google Workspace Essentials or Google Workspace Enterprise package.
