Server control options will soon be consolidated into a single menu located in the bottom right corner (the shield icon with a lock) on the Google Meet window instead of scattered in various positions as before. According to Google, this change helps users manage their meeting settings more easily without switching between menus.
The Leave empty calls feature will prompt users to decide whether to stay or leave a call if no participants join within 5 minutes. If after 2 minutes users do not respond, they will be automatically removed from the call. Additionally, Google Meet is currently addressing significant issues with video calls. By default, this feature will be activated. However, users can disable/deactivate this feature by accessing Settings => General .

Finally, these features will be rolled out on the Meet app for PC and iOS in the coming weeks and will be 'soon introduced' on the Android app.
