ChatGPT emerges as a potential competitor to Bard-Google.
When Bard chatbot was introduced on 02/08, Google CEO Sundar Pichai asserted it would provide new and high-quality responses to customer queries on Google's blog. However, this chatbot had a less-than-smooth start as expected by Google. In its debut, Bard was found to give an incorrect answer to a basic question in the advertised video clip.

As confirmed by NASA, the first images of an exoplanet were captured by the Very Large Telescope (VLT) of the European Southern Observatory (ESO) nearly two decades ago, in 2004.
Bard's mishap has left Google feeling embarrassed in front of its major rival, Microsoft. Additionally, Alphabet's stock - Google's parent company - plummeted by 7.7% on Wednesday, erasing $100 billion from Alphabet's market capitalization. Moreover, by the end of the trading session, Alphabet's shares dropped by as much as 9%.

OpenAI uses ChatGPT with a modern Large Language Model (LLM). Both Google and OpenAI excel in responding to posed questions. However, experts have found that both AI applications often struggle to distinguish between fact and fiction. CruzBruce Macintosh, Director of the Astronomy Department at the University of California, suggests that with experience photographing an exoplanet 14 years ago, this could be a better example to explain to the public the potential intriguing discoveries the JWST may bring in the future.
