Google's Messages app uses the RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging standard instead of traditional SMS, allowing users to have safer conversations.
Google adds several new features to the Messages app
The latest app update brings realistic emojis from iPhone users. Additionally, Google is integrating Google Photos to maintain video clarity and attachment links. Download and update the new version of Messages here: => Download Messages for Android.
The tech giant also emphasizes that while the latest app updates enhance user experience, Apple also needs to adopt RCS to complete the rest. By doing so, Apple will make messaging more attractive and secure, regardless of the device users are using.
Another notable change with the Messages app is the introduction of Personal and Business tabs, designed to separate user's personal and work messages. Additionally, there's an option to automatically delete one-time password-containing messages after 24 hours, helping to keep the inbox clean. These changes have been rolled out to users in India and will soon be available to users in the United States.
Finally, the Messages update will include two new buttons, one reminding / notifying users to send birthday wishes to their friends, loved ones, and the other button notifying replies to missed or need-to-follow-up messages to avoid missing important messages.
