Problem:
A rectangular water tank has a volume of 1.8m3. The base of the tank has a length of 1.5m and a width of 0.8m. Find the height of the tank.
Solution:
The area of the base of the rectangular tank is:
1.5 x 0.8 = 1.2 (m2)
The height of the rectangular tank is:
1.8 : 1.2 = 1.5 (m).
Answer: 1.5m
