GTA Revamped and several other remakes have failed to meet gamers' expectations.
The Trio of GTA Revamped

After the official release of the GTA Revamped trilogy, many gamers have expressed disappointment with the new graphics. Despite significant improvements in visuals, the graphics fail to justify the 2021 gaming standard or the hefty $60+ price tag.
Many gamers have criticized Rockstar Games for being too 'careless' with the graphics of the GTA Revamped trilogy, as it still contains numerous glitches, bugs, and unrealistic character models, some even appearing distorted.
Warcraft 3: Reforged Rethought
Since its debut, Warcraft 3 has stood the test of nearly two decades, becoming one of the most beloved strategy games in history. Therefore, the arrival of Warcraft 3: Reforged left fans around the world restless.

However, reality turned out to be less rosy than many had hoped. With high hopes came great disappointments. Upon its release, many were left disheartened by Blizzard's product. Not only did it fall short graphically, but Blizzard also cut many beloved features from the original version. With a hefty price tag comparable to a new title, what Blizzard offered in Warcraft 3: Reforged left many dissatisfied.
On the review aggregator site Metacritic, Warcraft 3: Reforged is currently receiving a record low score of 1.0 (based on player ratings). This translates to 9 out of 10 players criticizing the game. In Blizzard's history, no other product has been so harshly criticized and ridiculed.
Star Fox Zero HD Reimagined
Star Fox Zero HD, a highly anticipated title aiming to revive a classic franchise, ultimately disappointed many fans.

The game faced criticism from experts for its frustrating control scheme, lackluster storyline, almost like adding a new coat of paint to an old wine bottle. In reality, fans wanted a fresh take on 'Star Fox,' incorporating innovative elements, rather than just a fresh coat of paint.
Alone In The Shadows
Debuting in 1992, Alone In The Dark is a horror game developed by Infogrames. Over 15 years of development, Alone In The Dark has truly made its mark in the history of the gaming world.

However, these glories only shone in the early days of the series, when the purest elements were created by Infogrames. By the remake in 2008, Alone In The Dark truly caused a huge disappointment. The game not only had numerous flaws but also contained many 'inexplicable' situations that frustrated players and left them feeling disappointed. If the remake of Alone In The Dark had not been released, perhaps this game series would have been more successful and left a much more positive mark.
Lara Croft – Fallen Angel

Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness is evidence of milking a franchise and the careless handling of game content by the development studio Core Design. While Angel of Darkness did well in terms of environment and storyline, its gameplay, controls, and camera angles were extremely poor, making the game almost unplayable. This marked the end of the series and forced Tomb Raider into a reboot.
Medal of Defeat: Warfighter

Previously, 'Medal of Honor' could be considered a worthy competitor to 'Call of Duty,' but sadly, the franchise dug its own grave with the release of 'Medal of Honor: Warfighter' in 2012. This game was heavily criticized by fans for delivering a cliché action-packed story about the Middle East conflict, similar to a dozen other FPS titles. As a result, it performed poorly in sales, received low ratings from critics, leaving fans disappointed and effectively cancelling any plans for a sequel ever since.
