Bitou Jiao – Known as the 'Eye of Taiwan' – a Must-Visit Check-In Spot in Taiwan that Travelers Cannot Miss.
Guidance for Traveling to Bitou Jiao – A Fascinating Yet Lesser-Known Destination in Taiwan
Although located in a remote area, about an hour's drive northeast of downtown Taipei, Bitou Jiao Lighthouse remains well-known among tourists for its rare and breathtaking scenery. Bitou Jiao Lighthouse, also known as the Bitou Jiao House light, is a century-old white lighthouse. It is dubbed the 'eyes' of Taiwan because from atop this lighthouse, you can observe all sizes of vessels entering and leaving the area. Therefore, this is an ideal spot for those passionate about filming and photography.

Directions: Bitou Jiao is situated in Cilong, 50km from Taipei City. From Taipei City Hall Bus Station, take bus 2088 to Diaohe Market Station, then walk a short distance to Badouzi Station, and catch bus 791 to Bitou Jiao.

Unlike the hustle and bustle typical of Taiwan, the Bitou Cape trail meanders through lush green hills straight to the sea, reminiscent of a miniature version of the Great Wall of China. Additionally, the nature here is exceptionally pristine and refreshing, providing optimal conditions for relaxation and enjoying your journey.

On the way to Bitou Jiao, make sure to buy some drinks as you'll have to climb stone steps across several hills under the scorching sun of Taiwan. However, the natural scenery here is incredibly enchanting with the interplay of sky, sea, and mountains sure to make you 'forget the way back'.
