As mentioned earlier, with the online version of Google Docs, the margin alignment feature needs more time to be perfected compared to Office or Libre Office. Microsoft Office is undoubtedly well-known and widely used by everyone. Libre Office, on the other hand, may still be new to some users, but it is also a good office support software with comprehensive features that you should consider using.
Returning to the topic of today's article, the margin alignment feature on Google Docs is basic and simple compared to margins in Word. Currently, Google Docs still does not support adjusting margins on paper size, so you have to use the default settings and can only change the paper size. However, this does not significantly impact your text, and right now Mytour will guide you on how to adjust margins in Google Docs.
Guide to Aligning Margins in Google Docs
Step 1: Open any docs file to practice.
Step 2: Right on the Menu bar, you'll see a series of evenly spaced numbers; this is the section for adjusting margins for your document.
Step 3: You can drag these bars to the left or right, or shrink them to align the overall layout of your document.
Drag to the center, and the text will narrow.
Or drag close to the right to align the text.
If you want to align for each line, you can click into the table and choose:
Add left tab-stop: Align the line to the left.
Add center tab-stop: Align the line in the center.
Add right tab-stop: Align the line to the right.
Above, Mytour has provided a basic guide on how to align margins in Google Docs. Despite limited support and incomplete features, with the online convenience that Google Docs offers, we can look forward to future updates.
Additionally, you can add and install add-ons on Google Docs to enhance your documents further.
