Currently, Mytour observes that VNPT is providing users with mostly iGate GW040-H modems. To access the modem for password change, name change, editing, setup, modem configuration, and Wi-Fi settings, check the username + login password at the back of the modem, typically:
IP: 192.168.1.1
Username: admin
Password: admin
Method 1: Use the old default password to log in to 192.168.1.1 VNPT
For some older modems, VNPT may use common and easy-to-remember username and password combinations that you can try for logging in.
User (Username): admin
Password: admin
or
User (Username): root
Password: admin
Method 2: Log in to 192.168.1.1 VNPT using the modem's password
Currently, VNPT uses various modem types for its fiber optic packages. For each modem model, VNPT sets different default usernames and accounts, which you can refer to in the list below.
For the iGate VNPT modem:
User (Username): admin
Password: admin
For the YES TELECOM modem:
User (Username): megavnn
Password: megavnn
For the HUAWEI VNPT modem:
User (Username): root
Password: admin
Method 3: Log in to 192.168.1.1 VNPT with a new default password
If using the default login and password format is unsuccessful, try logging in with the customer code or hotline code. This information is usually written on the contract or under the Modem.
User (Username): admin
Password: vnpt@Maduongday or vnpt@makhachhang.
For example, Username: admin and Password: vnpt@Mytour123.
Method 4: Contact the hotline to request the login password for 192.168.1.1 VNPT
Due to various reasons, if you still can't log in to 192.168.1.1 VNPT after trying the two methods Mytour just guided. The only solution at this time is to contact hotline 119 of VNPT for assistance.
When contacting the hotline, you need to provide your customer code or the registered phone number with VNPT. Additionally, have a pen and paper ready to jot down the username and password provided by the hotline staff.
Note: By default, 192.168.1.1 is the default ID address for users to log in and edit names, passwords, or other settings on the modem. However, some modem models use a different IP address for Wi-Fi, preventing users from logging in.
