Register for the English Champion Exam, a national competition and a platform for your children to showcase their abilities in the English language. English Champion is a reputable competition organized to create a new English language playground.
English Champion registration
Similar to the registration process for the previous IOE English exam, registering for the English Champion exam requires you to fill in all authentic information. However, unlike IOE registration, the English Champion is only open to students from grade 4 to grade 8. If your child is in this age group, proceed to register for the English Champion following the guide below.
Guide to Register for the English Champion Exam
Update: Registration for English Champion is open from 7:00 AM on April 1st to the end of June 6th, 2021.
Step 1: To register for the exam on the English Champion website, readers need to access it HERE and then click on the registration button.
Step 2: Next, choose to register the candidate.
Here, you fill in the candidate's information as well as your information if you are the candidate's parent. The information includes:
- Last name: Enter the full last name with Vietnamese diacritics.
- First name: Enter the first name with diacritics.
- Date of birth: Click to select the date of birth.
- Parent's full name: Enter the full name with diacritics.
- Parent's phone number: Enter the candidate's father or mother's phone number.
Next is the educational information below, including the following details:
- Province/City, District: Select from the dropdown next to that field
- Grade: Choose the current grade
- School: Choose the current school
- Class Name: Enter the current class name
- Exam Shift: Choose the exam shift.
After completing the above steps, press the registration section.
Step 3: Next, you fill in additional information for the candidates; these are just additional details, so filling them in or not won't affect the candidates.
Below is the section for parents; after making the selection, please press finish.
Step 4: When you receive the congratulations on successfully registering for the English Champion exam notification, it means your registration is almost successful. Now, access your parent's email to confirm.
Step 5: Open your mailbox, and you will easily find the exam registration email on the English Champion website. Click on it and then click on the please click here section in the email content.
Another notification appears, confirming the successful activation of your account. At this moment, the registration for the English Champion exam is complete.
The English Champion exam consists of 4 rounds:
- Round 1: Take the online test at home, within 60 minutes online on the computer, featuring listening and reading comprehension skills.
- Round 2: Continue with the English reading and listening skills test on the computer, including Math and Science knowledge in English. The exam lasts 90 minutes for primary level and 120 minutes for secondary level, to select the top 50 candidates from each grade in each region.
- Round 3: The top 50 candidates from each grade will enter the direct elimination competition, 10 candidates with the highest scores will participate in the speaking and presentation skills test on stage with the judges to select the best candidate in each grade.
- Final Round: The best candidate in each grade in each region will participate in the English Champion competition final.
