Discover the simple steps to download eBooks from your Google Play Books library for offline reading.
Follow these steps:
For iPhone or iPad users:


- If you don't already have Google Play Books, you can get it for free from the App Store by following this link: Download Google Play Books

Tap the ☰ icon. Located in the upper-left corner of the screen, this will trigger a pop-out menu.

Tap Library. This option can be found at the bottom-right corner of the app and will display a list of your purchased books.

Add a book to your library if necessary. If you haven't already purchased a book from the Google Play Store, follow these steps: Go to https://play.google.com/store/books/ in a web browser, sign in with your Google Account, search for a book, view its details, and purchase it to save it to your library.

Scroll to the book you want to download. Swipe left across the book covers until the desired book appears in the center position.

Tap the ••• menu on the book cover. This menu, located at the top-right corner of the cover, will expand upon tapping.

Tap Download on the menu. This action saves the book to your iPhone or iPad for offline reading.
For Android users:

Add a book to your library if necessary. If your library is empty, follow these steps to purchase and save a book: Tap the search bar, enter a title or author, select a book, tap its price or 'Ebook Free', confirm the purchase, and enter payment details if prompted.

Tap the Library tab. Located at the bottom of the screen, this tab will show your collection of purchased books.

Tap ⋮ on the book's tile. This action is represented by three dots located on the right side of the tile, triggering a menu to expand.

Tap Download on the menu. This step downloads the book to your Android device for offline reading.
For PC or Mac users:

Go to https://play.google.com/books in your computer's web browser. This will show a list of books you own on Google Play if you're logged in. If not, click Sign In at the top-right corner to log in with your Google account.

Purchase a book if necessary. If you haven't bought the desired book yet, follow these steps: Click the Shop tab, search for a book or browse genres, select a book to view details and pricing, click the price or Free Ebook to purchase and save the book to your library, and return to your library by clicking the My books tab.

Click the three dots at the bottom-right corner of the book cover ⋮. This action will bring up a context menu.

Click Download EPUB or Download PDF. This saves the book to your computer as either an EPUB, PDF, or ASCM file. Depending on your browser's settings, you may need to select a save location or confirm the download.

Read the downloaded book. Depending on the file type, you can use various applications: If it's a PDF, you can read it in Google Chrome, Adobe Reader, Mac Preview, Microsoft Edge, or any other PDF reader. If it's an ASCM file, install Adobe Digital Editions to read it on your PC or Mac. For EPUB files, use Adobe Digital Editions or iBooks (on Mac).
Tips:
Books purchased on desktop or Android will be accessible in your Google Books library on any platform where you're signed in with the same Google Account. For offline reading on iPhone or Android, ensure you have the Google Play Books app installed.
