II: Removing Background Noise from Video
Step 1: Launch Premiere Pro and import the video you want to remove background noise from.
Step 2: In the main interface, select the Effect tab on the toolbar to add various effects.
Step 3: Navigate to the Audio Effects section under Effects tab.
Step 4: Look for 'Adaptive Noise Reduction' right at the top.
Step 5: Press and hold 'Adaptive Noise Reduction' and drag it onto your video's audio track.
Step 6: Return to the Effect Controls tab and locate 'Adaptive Noise Reduction' section. Choose Edit… to make adjustments.
Step 7: Here, you'll find 6 parameters to adjust for noise reduction in your video:
- Reduce Noise By: Decreases noise level
- Noisiness: Noise intensity
- Fine Tune Noise Floor: Refines overall noise level
- Signal Threshold: Signal reception level
- Spectral Decay Rate: Noise decay speed
- Broadband Preservation: Preserves original signals
If you're unsure about these noise reduction settings, adjust them one by one and listen until it sounds right. Each video has different noise levels, so there's no one-size-fits-all rule.
Additionally, for quick adjustments, you can choose preset editing modes by following these steps:
Select Preset and choose desired modes.
- Default: Standard settings
- Dereverb Single Source: Process single-channel audio
- Heavy Noise Reduction: Intense noise reduction
- Light Noise Reduction: Gentle noise reduction
Once editing is complete, select File -> Export -> Media… or press Ctrl + M to save the video.
