You've downloaded an image from the internet, but its quality is lacking due to low resolution. To address this, we can easily enhance the image resolution for a sharper and more appealing result. When considering increasing image resolution, Photoshop may come to mind. However, Photoshop is quite heavy and its functions are not user-friendly. Hence, in this article, we'll introduce an alternative solution: PhotoZoom software. This software is lightweight and its primary function is to enhance image resolution. Additionally, it's easy to use. Check it out!

You can download PhotoZoom software via the following link:

Software installation is quite straightforward; simply click Next.

After installation, launch the software and proceed with the steps to increase image resolution.
Step 1: On the software's main interface, press the Open button to select the image for resolution enhancement.

Step 2: After opening the image, you'll see resolution details on the left-hand side.
Width refers to the width, while Height indicates the height. Additionally, you can select the unit (usually pixels).
Below is the Resolution section, which represents the pixel density of the image. The higher the pixel density, the sharper the image.

Step 3: For example, here we'll increase the width of the image to 1000 pixels. Consequently, the height will automatically adjust to maintain the image's aspect ratio. Therefore, you only need to adjust the width or height.

Step 4: Next, we'll increase the pixel density to 150 pixels/inch. You'll notice the image's height and width also increase. Additionally, you'll observe a significant increase in the image file size.

After adjusting the resolution, the software will proceed to scan and edit the image. Depending on the resolution increase, the scanning and editing process may be fast or slow.
Step 5: Once the resolution is increased, we'll save the image. Click the Save icon, then a new window will appear where you can enter a name for the image, select the format (here we choose JPEG), and finally click Save.

Step 6: Another window will appear where you can drag the slider to adjust the image quality. Setting it to 100 Better will yield the highest quality image, but with a large file size. Therefore, if you want a smaller file size, you can reduce the image quality.

Now, wait for the image saving process to complete. Click Done to close the window or click Show in Explorer to open the folder containing the image.

Here's our image before and after increasing the resolution.

Above is a guide on how to increase image resolution using PhotoZoom software. We hope this article will be helpful to you. Wish you success!
