1. Guide on How to Connect Your iPhone to a TV
If you want to watch videos, view images, play games, or browse the web, accessing all the applications on your iPhone on a large screen such as a TV is incredibly quick and simple if you know how to connect your iPhone to a TV. This article will share with you the simplest and most understandable way to connect your phone to your TV.

Method 1: Using HDMI
Step 1: Purchase an HDMI cable and Apple's Digital AV adapter
You can purchase both of these devices online or at any electronics store. One end of this device plugs into the iPhone, while the other end is HDMI to directly connect to the TV. Note that this connection method only works for iPhone 4 and newer models.

For iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5, 5c, and 5S onwards, a different connection is used compared to earlier iPhone models. You will need a Digital AV Adapter.

Step 2: Connect the adapter to the iPhone
You plug the AV adapter into the 30-pin connector or Lightning port on the TV depending on the iPhone model you are using.

You need to connect the HDMI cable to the TV. Plug the other end of the HDMI connection into the available HDMI port on the TV. You can find the HDMI port on the back or side of the TV, usually labeled clearly for easy identification. Pay attention to the colors of the ports you are using to easily plug them into the correct port. If your TV does not have an HDMI connection, refer to method 2 below.

Step 3: Turn on the TV and use the remote to select the HDMI input
Depending on the iPhone you are using to connect, you will notice differences on the TV screen.
- For iPhone 4, not all content on the phone screen will be displayed on the TV screen. Instead, music playback, images, and videos will appear on the display screen, but you will not see your menus or games.
- For iPhone 4S and later models, you will see everything displayed on the phone screen appearing on the TV.
Apple's adapter comes with a 30-pin connector or Lightning connection that allows you to charge. Therefore, you don't have to worry about your phone running out of battery while you're gaming or watching movies.
Method 2: Using Analog Connection
This connection method is used to support TVs without HDMI ports. You can connect your iPhone to the TV using Analog connections. Connection cables such as Composite/Component, VGA transfer content from the iPad to the TV and are collectively referred to as Analog connections.
For iPhones 4s and earlier - Apple Composite AV Cable, this cable plugs into your 30-pin connector and allows you to connect to the composite cable on your TV. This is a three-pronged connection, usually with red, white, and yellow colors.

Apple Composite AV Cable typically comes in 3 colors: red, white, yellow
For iPhone 6 and newer, this cable plugs into the Lightning connector and allows you to connect to the VGA port on the TV.

Step 1: Plug the iPhone adapter or cable into one of the two 30-pin connectors or Lightning connectors - Apple Lightning VGA Adapter, depending on the type of iPhone you are using.
Step 2: Plug the appropriate port into the remaining end of your cable, ensuring you connect the ports with the correct color if you're using Composite or Component cables. If you're using a VGA cable, make sure to securely tighten the screws.

Make sure you plug the corresponding color-coded connectors
Step 3: Connect your audio (if using VGA). If you're using a Lightning to VGA adapter, you'll need to connect your audio separately. This is because VGA cables do not transmit audio signals. You can connect an audio cable from your headphone jack to a speaker system, or use the Lightning ports on the adapter to connect to your home theater system.

Method 3: Using AirPlay and Apple TV
Using Apple TV is a solution to connect your iPhone to the TV without the need for physical transmission devices like the methods above. AirPlay is a feature developed by Apple to wirelessly transmit audio and image signals between devices, specifically from iPhone, iPad to Apple TV.
Step 1: Set up the connecting unit into Apple TV, plug it into the TV via the HDMI port, and also note that this device needs to use the same wifi network as your iPhone.
Step 2A: If you don't see the AirPlay feature in the Apple TV software control interface, select Settings => General => Update Software => Download and Install.
Step 2B: If AirPlay is already available on Apple TV, remember to turn it on. Go to Settings => AirPlay and turn it On. Of course, in this section, you also have many other customization options, such as naming your Apple TV.

Step 3: Use AirPlay on iPhone

Double press Home to enter multitasking mode => then swipe the multitasking bar to the left => tap on the AirPlay icon (circle) => select the detected Apple TV device (arrow).

Toggle the Mirroring option to ON.
Another way to control AirPlay on iPhone is simply by accessing the Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the iPhone screen. Then select AirPlay.

Above are the popular methods to connect your iPhone to a TV in a simple and understandable way. Wish you successful connections!
