Method 1: Using HDMI

Step 1: Purchase an HDMI cable and Apple's Digital AV adapter

You can purchase both of these devices online or at any electronics store. One end of this device plugs into the iPhone, while the other end is HDMI to directly connect to the TV. Note that this connection method only works for iPhone 4 and newer models.

For iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5, 5c, and 5S onwards, a different connection is used compared to earlier iPhone models. You will need a Digital AV Adapter.

Step 2: Connect the adapter to the iPhone

You plug the AV adapter into the 30-pin connector or Lightning port on the TV depending on the iPhone model you are using.
