FDISK is a command run within MS-DOS with the primary function of partitioning and dividing hard drives. It delves deep into the hard drive, formatting it to the desired capacity. Thus, it meets the highest demands of users regarding hard drive partitioning.
Guide on partitioning computer drives using FDISK
Step 1: Firstly, Boot up the computer from a floppy disk or BOOT disk. During the quick boot process, quickly select F1-F12 depending on your computer to enter Boot. From the DOS prompt, type the command: fdisk
Step 2: A prompt window will appear, choose
Step 3: Then the program interface will appear as follows, select [1] Create DOS partition or Logical DOS Drive tool that allows you to create areas on the disk and create a Logical drive for Dos usage.
Step 4: Proceed to select 1.
Wait for the update process to complete, a notification window will appear. Choose N
Next, select the disk size you want to partition then press Enter on the create a primary DOS partition section. You can choose the partition size by entering the corresponding number from the keyboard

Step 5: Set active partition At the main interface, select [2] for the drive
Select Set active for the partition, observe that the drive is number 1, type in 1 and then press Enter
