Step 1: Proceed to purchase train tickets online through the official website of Vietnam Railways, linked HERE. Upon the first interface, you will see the train ticket search tool for your journey.

Step 2: First, select the departure and arrival stations. The system also suggests locations if you cannot remember station names.
Below, we have the option to choose between one-way or round-trip and select departure and return dates. Then, click on 'Search'.
Step 3: Then an information box will appear asking you to confirm the captcha code, click on it and the window will close automatically.
Step 4: Here, the interface for purchasing train tickets online via the internet will appear. On the chosen date, only SE7 and SE5 are available. Select the appropriate train. Then, hover your mouse over each train car, you will see car notes, sleeping berths. Choose the appropriate car based on your needs.
Below, we can select the car and the seat numbers for each car will immediately appear.
Next, you look below, move the mouse over each seat number, you will see the seat price displayed.
Then, you will choose a seat that suits you. Click on the seat you choose, and the seat will be displayed in green.

Ticket booking conventions:
- Blue Carriage: Available carriages with tickets, you can book.
- White Carriage: Carriages with no tickets sold, you cannot book.

- Red Carriage: Carriages with all tickets sold.
- White Seat: Available seats, click to book.
- Green Seat: Seat you are currently selecting by clicking.
- Red Seat: Sold and paid for.
- Blue Seat: Applicable for long journeys.
Step 5: After selecting, scroll back up to the top of the ticket purchasing page.
Step 6: Next, input basic information including full name, age group (adult or child), and identity card number.
Scroll down, you'll see the passenger information, electronic invoice details. Fill in the required information; if you don't need an invoice, you can leave the invoice information section blank.
Scroll down and fill in the remaining information for payment. If you choose to pay online or via Paydo, you need to have Paydo services or internet banking to transfer funds. After making your selection, click on the 'I agree ...' box and then click 'Next'.
Step 7: Then, we need to confirm the information for purchasing train tickets online through the internet once again.
Afterwards, your payment code and reservation code will appear. If you choose to pay directly, you will be directed to a page where you can input your bank card. Otherwise, you'll need to make the payment using your payment code as shown in the image below.
