Conditions for using Skype video messaging feature
- First, you need to use the latest version of Skype for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Mac OS, Android, or iPhone, available for download in this article.

1. How to Send Video Messages on Skype for Computer
Step 1: In the Skype chat interface, click on the three-dot icon -> select Send Video Message. If your computer is not connected to a webcam, this option will be disabled and cannot be selected.
Step 2: Immediately after, the video recording interface appears, and you will see the record button (in red, in the middle). To start recording, click on this red button.
Note: You will see a white circle appearing from right to left, indicating the limited recording time. For free accounts, the time limit will count down from 3 minutes to zero. Of course, with a paid account, you can send video messages with unlimited duration.
After completing the video recording (meaning you feel the need to stop recording) -> press the red button once again to stop.
Step 3: You can review the video -> by clicking the Play icon in the video window to watch. To send the video message -> click the send icon Send. Immediately, your message is sent to Skype's server before the video message is delivered to the recipient. The time will depend on the length of the video segment as well as the internet connection speed.
If the recipient is using an older version of Skype, they will receive a link with a PIN code that needs to be entered to view the video message. However, if the recipient is using the latest version of Skype, they can immediately view the message on Skype.
If you want to save or delete the video message, click on the three-dot icon in the top right corner when viewing the video -> then choose to save or remove as desired.
Note: You won't be able to delete a video message once you've sent it to someone else. You can only delete a video message before sending it. Keep this in mind.
2. How to Send Video Messages on Skype for Mobile
Sending video messages on Skype for Android and iOS is quite similar to what you do on a computer.
In the chat interface, tap the '+' icon at the bottom right of the screen. Next, choose Video Message to record and send a video message on Skype for mobile.
