Here, I'm using the interface on the Sony 4K 43-inch KD-43X8500F Android TV and the Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus 2018 phone as an example; you can do the same with other TV models.
Step 1: Open the Youtube app on your phone.
Step 2: Next, click on the account section in the top right corner of the Youtube screen.
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Settings' section.
Step 4: Choose the 'Watch on TV' option. Here, you have two ways to connect.
Option 1: If your phone and TV are on the same WiFi network
Step 5: Your phone will list available TVs on the shared WiFi network. When you see your TV's name, tap on it to initiate the pairing of the two devices.
Option 2: If the two devices are not on the same WiFi network
Step 5: Still in the 'Watch on TV' section on your phone, choose the 'ENTER TV CODE' option.
Step 6: On the TV, press the HOME button on the remote to access the main interface.
Step 7: Navigate to the 'Apps' section on the TV and select Youtube.
Step 8: Scroll over and choose the 'Settings' option.
Step 9: Next, move to the right and find the 'Link with TV code' section. The TV will then display a linking code.
Step 10: At this point, simply enter the correct code on your phone and select 'LINK' to initiate the pairing of the two devices.
After a successful pairing, just navigate to the desired Youtube video on your phone, select play, and the content will start displaying on the wide screen of your TV.
