Guide on sharing YouTube videos from your phone to Sony smart TV
In this article, I'm using a Sony 4K 49-inch X8500F TV and a Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus phone as an example!
Step 1: On the phone interface, open the YouTube app.
Step 2: Click on the account section at the top left of the YouTube screen.
Step 3: Proceed to select the Settings section.
Step 4: Access the View on TV section in the settings interface. Here, you will have two methods to connect.
Method 1: If your phone and TV are already connected to the same Wifi network:
Step 5: At this point, your phone will list TVs available for connection. If they share the same Wifi network, your TV's name will appear on YouTube. Click on your TV device to pair them!
Method 2: If your phone and TV are not connected to the same Wifi network:
Step 6: On the View on TV interface on your YouTube phone app, select the option: Enter TV Code
Step 7: On your Sony TV, press the HOME button on the remote to return to the main TV interface.
Step 8: Navigate to the 'Apps' on your TV and select the YouTube section.
Step 9: Scroll and locate the 'Settings' section.
Step 10: Swipe to the right and find the Link with TV Code option. Then, the TV will display a linking code.
Step 11: Simply enter the correct code on your phone and choose Link to pair the two devices!
