To root the device, check if it is running Android 5 by going to Settings > About phone.
If you are on Android 5.0, let's begin the process by downloading the following tools:
- Download Odin software here.
- Get the original ROM file for your device here.
- Install drivers for your device here.
- Alternatively, visit the official site here.
On-phone Steps:
Power off the device and enter download mode by holding all three buttons Volume Down + Home + Power until the display appears.

Press Volume Up to enter the ROM installation mode.

On Computer Actions:
Extract the Tools folder to obtain files: adonis.pit, Odin 3.09, and modem.bin (Along with backups of these files to prevent errors).
Extract the Android 4.4 ROM folder to get the ROM file: I9500XXUGNI1_I9500OLBGNI1_I9500DXUGNH1_HOME.tar.md5.
Install drivers using the Kies software you downloaded earlier. Open the Odin 3.09 software with admin privileges.

After launching Odin, in the PIT section, select adonis.pit. In the AP section, choose I9500XXUGNI1_I9500OLBGNI1_I9500DXUGNH1_HOME.tar.md5 as shown in the image, then click Start to flash the ROM. Wait for about 5 - 10 minutes for the device to restart. This startup might take up to 10 minutes. After that, set up as usual, and your device will lose its IMEI. To recover the IMEI, an additional flashing step is required.

Launch Odin and put the device in download mode as mentioned above. This time, go to the CP section and select the modem.bin file. The device will flash quickly and restart in about 2 minutes.

Now, upon startup, you can use the device normally with version 4.4. Best of luck to you all.
