The password backup feature in browsers is a handy utility that allows users to manage saved passwords and access frequently visited websites requiring login conveniently and quickly.
Below, I'll walk you through the simplest way to back up passwords.
Step 1: Typically, when we first access a website, after entering our username and password, Chrome or Coc Coc will display a prompt asking us to save our password.
Example with id.zing.vn website

Step 2: Click on Save to store the password in memory.
Once the password is saved, every time we visit that website, we won't have to enter the password again as Chrome or Coc Coc will automatically fill it in for us.

So simple, isn't it!!
Note: Saving passwords through Chrome (Coc Coc) not only makes it convenient for us to log into our favorite websites with just 1 click but also helps us limit the risk of password leaks by spyware recording keystroke histories like keyloggers or Man-in-the-Middle data interception attacks when using public wifi. However, we should use the password saving feature for our personal computers, avoiding use on public computers as they are easily susceptible to being viewed by strangers.
Password Management and Backup
Regarding managing saved passwords, we can view or delete them by clicking on the 3-dot icon (1) at the top right corner, selecting Settings (2). A new tab will appear.

Click on Advanced

Select the Passwords and forms section

A dialog box will appear providing us with information about the list of websites where we have saved passwords.

To view saved passwords, we can click on the eye icon to review our passwords.
To prevent data loss in case of computer reinstall or complete data loss, we can use the feature to export passwords to an Excel file (click on the 3-dot icon above the saved password line).

Choose Export

The saved file will contain information in the following order: name, url, username, password.
Restore saved passwords
Similarly, to restore saved passwords, we repeat the above steps but instead of selecting export passwords, we click on Import saved passwords

Then select the password file we just saved and click Open. Done

Note: If you don't see the options to export and import passwords, this feature may be disabled on your Chrome or Coc Coc. To enable it, access the Chrome://flags address

Navigate to the Export password, Import password section and change the setting from Default to Enabled.
Above is the guide to backing up and restoring passwords for Chrome, Coc Coc. Hope this article helps those who need to access websites conveniently without entering passwords. Wish you success!
