When purchasing movie tickets at the counter, you often encounter the hassle of queuing and sometimes not getting your preferred seats. Instead, opt for booking CGV movie tickets online to conveniently avoid these troubles.
1. Why Should You Book CGV Movie Tickets Online?
Nowadays, the majority of people actively purchase movie tickets online. Why is that?
Step 3: On the next screen, you'll find detailed information about the movie including: summary, age rating, genre, director, cast, language.
Consider these details to decide whether to watch the movie or not. To proceed, click on Book Tickets.
Step 4: Now it's time to make choices.
- Show Date: located at the top in black.
- Cinema: where you want to watch the movie; for example, CGV Vincom Ocean Park, CGV Aeon Long Biên,…
- Show Time: clearly stated in numbers.

Format: pay attention to the cinema format, for example: 2D Vietnam Sub – showing movies in 2D format with Vietnamese subtitles.
You may also encounter formats like 3D, 4DX, and special cinemas such as Gold Class, L’Amour.
Press the option you desire to proceed to the next step.
If you can't find a cinema in the province/city you're in, click All Cinemas >> choose Province/City to find the right cinema.
Step 5: Moving on to seat selection, you need to identify the screen position and seat type:
- Deep Pink: VIP seats
- Gray: standard seats
- Pink: SweetBox seats
- Crossed out seats: already reserved
You can click on any seat you want to reserve, the seats you select will be marked in red.
Tip: choosing seats in the middle of the screen will give you a better view while watching the movie.
After selecting seats, you'll know the amount you need to pay, press Book Tickets to proceed to the next step.
Note: For movies with age restrictions, CGV will require you to confirm the booking, press Agree at this step. Make sure you are old enough to watch the movie, otherwise you won't be allowed into the cinema and CGV will not refund your ticket.
Step 6: If you want to add more snacks to your cinema experience, click the Plus Sign next to the combo you desire. The quantity will increase each time you click.
If you don't want to purchase snacks, skip this step and click Checkout.
Step 7: Proceed to the payment interface, if you have a discount code, voucher, gift,... from CGV, you can enter the code in the Discount section to get a deduction.
Step 8: Scroll down and select Payment Method: Domestic Card, International Card, e-wallets.
Press I Agree and Continue, you will be redirected to the payment application to proceed with the transaction.
Step 9: When the payment is completed, it means you have successfully booked your movie tickets. The CGV Cinemas app will generate a code for you to collect tickets at the counter.
Take a screenshot to save the code on your phone. Alternatively, you can retrieve the code anytime by clicking on the Tickets icon on the app's main screen.
When you arrive at the cinema, simply provide the reservation code to the ticketing staff, and they will print your tickets for you. Remember to be on time!
