Vietnam Airlines is the 4-star National Airline of Vietnam, established in 1993, known for its reputation as a reliable, high-quality airline with international standards. However, Vietnam Airlines ticket prices are usually higher than other airlines. Therefore, to book Vietnam Airlines flights online, you should follow the instructions:
Step 1: Visit the Vietnam Airlines homepage
To book Vietnam Airlines flights, visit the official website of Vietnam Airlines at: https://www.vietnamairlines.com/vn/en/home
Step 2: Search for flight information
Enter your flight details

Select the 'Buy Tickets' section, and a dark window will appear as shown in the image above.
- Check the box for 'Round Trip' if you are booking both outbound and return tickets, or check the box for 'One Way' if you are only booking a single trip ticket.
- Proceed to choose your departure and destination points: for example, traveling from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.
- Choose your departure and return dates: for instance, departing on 01/09/2020 and returning on 03/09/2020.
Select the number of passengers: Adults (>12 years old), children (2 - 12 years old), infants (under 2 years old).
Enter any airline promo code (if applicable).
Finally, click on 'Find flights'.
Step 3: Choose your flight
After clicking on 'Find flights,' a window will appear (shown below), where you can search for flights with suitable prices and times.

The ticket prices displayed on the top horizontal bar are the cheapest airfares for the selected date and nearby dates.
In the Price Table section, pay attention to the Departure Time column, Seat Class Prices: Business Class: Flexible Business Class, Standard Business Class - seats with higher prices but more benefits: access to exclusive lounges, comfortable seating with entertainment screens. Economy Class: Flexible Economy Class, Standard Economy Class, and Economy Saver Class - seats with basic policies for a convenient and comfortable flight experience.
Check the box with the appropriate flight time and ticket price.
After selection, scroll down and click on the 'Passenger' box to enter information.
Step 4: Enter passenger information
The fields marked with * are mandatory (Title, First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Phone, Email Address), while others are optional. Note that passenger names should be written without accents, and the order of first and last names must match the birth certificate. Phone numbers and email addresses must be accurate for the airline to contact passengers and send electronic tickets.
After filling in all necessary information => Click on 'Continue'.

Step 5: Prepaid baggage
On the Vietnam Airlines website, there is an option to purchase prepaid baggage (HLTT) for flights. Each passenger can purchase up to 10 HLTT packages per segment, each package calculated per piece (1 piece = 23kg). HLTT does not apply to infants.
Click on 'Buy' to purchase Extra Baggage --> Select the passenger's name for baggage purchase --> Choose the number of bags needed --> The total amount for baggage purchase will be displayed below the table.
If you choose not to purchase Extra Baggage, you can skip this section, click 'Continue' to proceed to the Payment (for domestic flights) and Seat Selection (for international flights) section.

Step 6: Payment methods
There are 3 payment methods: International Payment, Domestic Payment in Vietnam – immediate payment, Domestic Payment in Vietnam – payment later:
Choose Payment Method
Select your preferred payment method, then fill in the required information in the fields marked with an asterisk (*).
- International card payments: Visa, MasterCard, JCB.
- Domestic Payment: payment at ATM machines, internet banking, or cash payment at banks.
After selecting the payment method => Review terms and conditions --> Check the box 'I have read and accept the Pricing Terms, Terms and Conditions' --> 'Submit Payment'.

Step 7: Reservation Confirmation
After ticking 'Submit Payment', you will receive an email confirming your reservation completion. If you choose to pay later, a second email will be sent after you have successfully paid. If you haven't received an email after payment, call Vietnam Airlines hotline 1900 1100 for assistance. With your e-ticket, you can check in online or at the airport counter for procedures.
