Guide to Bypassing Windows XP Login Password
Method 1: Log in under the system's default authority.
When entering the Windows system and encountering an error, press the Alt+Ctrl+Delete key combination to return to the initial state:
In the login window, fill in the User name textbox with the word 'administrator' (logging in with the highest administrative privileges), leave the Password textbox blank, and click the OK button to log in. This method is applicable to the default system settings. Once inside, proceed to make changes by following the path Start ->Setting ->Control Panel ->User Accounts to modify the password.
This method is only effective when the default password for the highest access rights, Administrator, hasn't been changed. If a password has been set, this method is ineffective, and you must resort to method 2 below.
Method 2: Use the program Hiren's Boot CD to bypass.
- You need a pre-installed Boot USB or Boot CD. Refer to how to create a bootable USB with Hiren's Boot
- Different versions of the Boot have similar functions, with the only difference between versions being the additional integrated features.
Step 1: Insert the disk to boot the computer and select the parameters. The result is as follows:
Step 2: Press down ->Dos Programs -> Enter to proceed.
Step 3: Choose Password & Registry Tools (or press 3) and press Enter to continue.
Step 4: Click on Active Password changer (or press 6) -> press Enter
Step 5: Enter the number in Your choice -> select 1 and press Enter to proceed.
Step 6: Press Enter to continue.
Step 7: In Your choice, enter 1 to select the user whose password needs resetting -> press Enter to execute the program.
Step 8: Use the up and down arrow keys to move the cursor and use the spacebar to delete the password.
Step 9: Press Y to save after editing -> restart the computer to see the results.
