Step 1: To change your Skype name live, you need to log in to Skype. In the upper left corner, click on your Skype display name as shown below.
Step 2: In the display options, click 'Skype profile' (Profile).
Step 3: Below your profile picture, click on Display Name or the pencil icon to change your display name.
Step 4: Now, you only need to delete the old name and replace it with the new one. (After changing the name, you can click the checkmark or not; Skype will automatically save the name you changed).

Download Skype on your phone:
