1. How long is the warranty for TCL TV?
According to the latest information updated in 2023 (effective from February 1, 2023) by TCL, all TCL TV models come with a manufacturer's warranty of 24 months (2 years). This warranty period is reduced by 12 months compared to before (36 months).
The warranty period is calculated based on the following milestones:
- Effective from the date the user activates the electronic warranty, a 24-month warranty is provided free of charge, but the machine's serial number must not exceed 36 months from the manufacturing date;
- If the electronic warranty is not activated, it will be calculated based on the sales date on the VAT invoice of the end-user, with a 24-month warranty provided free of charge, but the machine's serial number must not exceed 36 months from the manufacturing date;
- If there is no warranty basis, it will be calculated based on the manufacturing date on the machine's serial number, with a 24-month warranty provided free of charge, but the machine's serial number must not exceed 28 months from the manufacturing date;
2. How to Activate TCL TV Warranty
According to TCL Vietnam's guidelines, TCL TV users can activate their TCL TV warranty in the following ways:
- For users of TCL Android TVs, when purchasing the TV, simply turn on the TV and connect it to the internet, and the TV will automatically activate the warranty without the need for any additional complex procedures.
- For non-Android TV users, within 30 days of purchase, they can use the TCL HOME app (available on the AppStore or CH Play) to upload a photo of the VAT invoice or a photo of the sales activation date on the CRM system;
- For display TCL TVs already electronically activated, customers can contact the hotline 1800588880 to provide the VAT invoice for confirmation and modification of the activation time;
3. How to Check TCL TV Electronic Warranty
If users are unsure about the warranty period of their TCL TV, they can check the TCL TV warranty using the following methods:
3.1 Checking TCL TV Warranty for the First Use
When purchasing and using a TCL TV, individuals can easily check the TCL TV warranty step by step as follows:
- Start the TV and connect it to the internet.
- Enter all user information into the TV as required.
- Go to Menu=> Settings => electronic activation to check the warranty online.
3.2 How to Check TCL TV Warranty Using TCL Home App
Individuals can also check the TCL TV warranty using the TCL Home app, specifically as follows:
- Access the App Store or CH Play, download and log in to the TCL HOME app on the phone (registration required if you do not have an account).
- Select Profile=> My Products to enter information about the product needing warranty.
- Return to the main screen and select services to check the warranty status of the device.
4. How to Call for TCL TV Warranty When Malfunctioning or Encountering Issues
When your TCL TV encounters issues and is still within the manufacturer's warranty period, you can call the hotline 1800588880. TCL Call-Center staff, after identifying the product eligible for warranty policy, will arrange repair orders through the CRM system for the warranty station;
If your TCL TV is out of the manufacturer's warranty period, you can still call the hotline. However, the product will be deemed ineligible for free warranty. In such cases, TCL will provide fee-based warranty services, with repair fees based on the standards announced by TCL's service centers.
