Accessing Youtube to search and watch videos is something most internet users do. There may be search information you don't want others using your computer to know about.
You can delete search history, clear viewing history, and secure liking actions on videos. This article will help you know how to clear history and set security on Youtube.
Deleting Your Youtube Search History
To delete your Youtube search history, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to Youtube, log in to the account whose search history you want to delete. On the main interface, click on the small profile picture icon and select Creator Studio.
Step 2: Select Video Manager -> Search History.
Step 3: To delete searched keywords on Youtube, choose Delete all search history. Press Pause search history to stop updating search history.
If you only want to delete certain search history items, check the box next to those items and click Delete.
Alternatively, you can also go to History on the Youtube homepage, then select the Search History tab to delete.
Delete Youtube Video Viewing History
Step 1: On the main Youtube interface, click on History in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Click Delete all viewing history to clear your Youtube viewing history, click Pause viewing history to stop updating viewing history.
If you don't want to delete all viewing history, but only certain ones, click the X next to the video's name to delete.
Securing Like Actions
Step 1: On the main Youtube interface, click on the small profile picture icon and select Youtube Settings.
Step 2: Select Privacy from the left menu, then in the Likes and subscriptions section, check the boxes next to Keep all my liked videos and saved playlists private and Keep all my subscriptions private, then click Save.
