Guide to Deleting Messenger Messages
1. Delete Messenger Messages on Computer, PC
Step 1: To delete Messenger messages on your computer, simply go to any message from someone in your contact list. Then, hover over the message you want to delete.
Step 2: At this point, Messenger displays options. Click on the three dots and then click on 'Delete, Remove'.
Step 3: The system will ask you about deleting Messenger messages. Click on 'Delete, Remove' to remove that message.
Immediately, Messenger will delete the message you want to remove.
Note:
- Deleting Messenger messages is possible for individual, group, or fan page chats.
- For messages sent a while ago, you can also recall them from everyone or retract them on your end.
2. Delete Messenger messages on iPhone, Android
The Android and iPhone versions of Messenger on phones are similar, so Mytour only guides in one version, and you can look at it to do the same for the other version.
Step 1: To delete Messenger messages on your phone, simply press and hold the message for a few seconds (Figure 1) until the remove menu appears below > then press again and choose remove message on your end (Figure 2).
Step 2: Next, click on 'Remove' (Figure 3), the system will display the question 'Remove on your end', click on 'Remove' again (Figure 4).
Messenger will show 'Removed', and the message will disappear.
