Guide on Various Methods to Factory Reset Your PS4
Method 1: Standard PS4 Factory Reset
To factory reset your PS4, you need to keep in mind the following:
- Step 1: Log into your PS4 and go to the Settings menu, then find the option PlayStation Network/Account Management.
- Step 2: In the Activate as Your Primary PS4 window, click on the Deactivate option and select Yes.
- Step 3: Log back in with your user account and proceed to the Settings menu again.
- Step 4: Find the Initialization option in Settings and select Initialize PS4 - this option will erase your hard drive data, including downloaded games, saved game data, and anything else you've purchased. Simply put, it restores your PS4 to its factory settings.
Here, you'll also see another option called Restore Default Settings. This option will erase your saved settings data and return your PS4 to its original settings, but it won't erase your hard drive.
