1. Insert Word Art in Excel
Step 1: Open Excel and go to the Insert tab -> select Text -> choose Word Art -> select a style as shown below:
Step 2: Enter the content to create artistic text:
Step 3: After entering the content -> select (highlight) the entire text to be turned into artistic text -> then the quick tool window will automatically appear -> here, you can change font size, font color, italicize, bold...
So with those 3 steps, you've successfully inserted Word Art in Excel.
2. Adjusting Word Art in Excel
After successfully inserting Word Art, you proceed to adjust it to finalize the insertion.
Step 4: Select (highlight) the artistic text -> then select Format -> click on the Arrow in the Word Art Styles section as shown below:
A window appears for you to choose the artistic text style you want to create. Here, you can reselect or modify the font styles you desire:
Pay attention to the left side of Word Art Styles which is Shape Style -> Here, you can adjust the frame of the Word Art.
- Shape Fill: Select the color for the text.
- Shape Outline: Choose the border color for the text.
- Shape Effect: Create effects for the text.
Suppose you want to fill the background color of the Word Art -> you click on the Shape Fill icon -> then you choose the desired color:

Step 5: You can adjust the content of the Word Art by selecting (highlighting) the artistic text -> then selecting Format -> choose Word Art Styles including the following options:
- Text Fill: Color for the text.
- Text Outline: Color for the text outline.

Suppose you want to change the outline color of the text -> you select the Text Outline icon -> choose the desired color:
Similarly, you can add effects to the text -> you click on the Text Effect icon -> choose Transform for example:
