- Skype should be installed on computers running Windows operating system with any version such as Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista/7/8 (32-bit and 64-bit).

You can download the latest version of Skype to your computer from this link:
1. New Skype Version
Step 1: Begin the Skype installation process by clicking on the previously downloaded setup file.
Step 2: System preparation for installation will take a few seconds, then click Install to proceed with Skype installation.
Step 3: Skype installation process commences; if you wish to abort, simply click Cancel.
Step 4: Log into your Skype account, or create a new one by clicking No account? Create one! if you don't have an existing account.
Step 5: Choose your theme: Light (white) or Dark (black). Then, click the arrow icon. Alternatively, you can directly click Skip to use the default white theme.
Step 6: Select your profile picture by uploading or dragging and dropping an image. Once done, click the arrow icon.
Step 7: This step involves audio testing. Test your microphone or speaker by clicking Test Audio. Once everything is confirmed working well, click the arrow button to proceed to the next step.
Step 8: Congratulations! You've successfully installed Skype. Now, you can start using the latest 2018 version of Skype.
2. Legacy Skype Version
Step 1: Open the folder containing the Skype installation file.
Step 2: Choose your preferred language for future use. You can select 'Run Skype when the computer starts' for auto-launch convenience. Click I Agree - next.
Step 3: Opt for 'Install Skype Click to Call' if you wish to install Skype's additional calling feature. Click Continue to proceed.
Step 4: The next window allows you to choose whether to set Bing as your primary search engine by selecting 'Make Bing my search engine' or set MSN Website as your browser's homepage by choosing 'Make MSN my homepage'. You can also opt not to choose either of these two options. Click Continue.
