Guide to Installing Stock Firmware on Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
Prior to flashing stock firmware on S9/S9+
1. This article only applies to Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus devices. It does not apply to other mobile products besides the mentioned devices.
2. Ensure the battery is charged to at least 50% to ensure the device remains operational during the flash process. If the battery runs out during the installation of new firmware, there's a high chance your mobile device will become an actual 'brick'.
3. Backup all important data on your device including contacts, call logs, SMS messages, and multimedia data before installing new firmware.
4. If Samsung Kies is installed on your computer, close the application. If Samsung Smart Switch is also installed on your computer, you should also close this application.
5. Disable Firewall or any antivirus programs if installed.
6. Connect your S9 to the computer via the OEM data cable.
7. Enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging on your device.
8. Follow the steps below.
1. Download and install Samsung USB Driver.
2. Download the latest version of Odin 3.13.1 and extract it on your computer screen.
3. Download firmware for Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus. Extract the firmware on your computer screen to obtain files AP, BL, CP, and Home_CSC.
Install Stock Firmware on Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
1. Open Odin3.exe file from the extracted Odin 3.13.1 data.
2. Now, enable download mode for Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus. Firstly, turn off your mobile device, then simultaneously press the Volume Down + Power + Bixby buttons to boot the device into download mode.
3. The device will boot into download mode and display a warning. Press the Volume Up button to continue.
4. Now, connect your mobile device to the computer.
5. In Odin, click on the AP tab and load the AP file from the firmware files.
6. Similarly, click on the BL tab and select the BL file. Choose the CP file in the CP tab and select the Home_CSC file in the CSC tab.
7. Access the Options section in Odin, only select the Auto Reboot and F.Reset.Time options.
8. Now, you are ready to flash the original firmware on S9 from the manufacturer, click the Start button.
9. The firmware installation process will begin and finish after a few minutes. The mobile device will restart, and you can disconnect it from the computer.
