From Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, you can reach Luang Prabang in two ways:
By road: Cross various Vietnam-Laos border crossings (Lao Bao, Quang Tri; Bo Y - Kon Tum, etc.) and take a bus to Luang Prabang.
