3. Finished product: Salmon steamed with soy sauce
Salmon steamed with soy sauce has a sweet and savory taste, paired with fragrant soy sauce infused with the aroma of roasted garlic. The fish remains moist and tender inside, not overcooked or dry. You can sprinkle some sesame seeds to enhance the aroma of the dish. Similar to salmon with tomato sauce, it's best to enjoy salmon steamed with soy sauce while it's still hot, preferably with freshly cooked rice.

4. Handy Tips for Choosing Delicious Fresh Salmon
When buying pre-cut salmon fillets, opt for pieces with bright white marbling, smooth texture, and vibrant orange flesh. Avoid pieces that are dark, discolored, or have a fishy odor. Never choose pale or mushy fillets, as they are likely old. You can test freshness by pressing your finger onto the fillet. If it feels resilient and not sticky, it's a good choice.
If purchasing whole salmon, look for fish with shiny, bright scales, a black back, and a white belly. The eyes should be clear and not sunken. Avoid salmon with dull scales, a yellowish belly, and protruding eyes, as these indicate lower quality.
