Teamfight Tactics is a game mode highly beloved by League of Legends players worldwide for its incredibly captivating gameplay. Following the highly successful season 1, Riot has decided to introduce an entirely new Teamfight Tactics season 2 with the theme of Elements, introducing a plethora of new and replaced champions, resulting in a multitude of fresh strategies and team compositions.
The Hyper-Roll tactic is not new, having been prevalent in the past when assassin compositions were extremely powerful. And in Teamfight Tactics season 2, this tactic is gradually making a comeback.

Hyper-Roll is a strategy name, also a term commonly used in game genres like Teamfight Tactics. Hyper-Roll involves heavily utilizing rolling to refresh the purchase list, thereby enabling the acquisition and combination of as many 3-star champions as possible.
This strategy is particularly suitable for team compositions with many low-cost units but powerful abilities, and when assembled, the strength becomes exceptionally dominant. In season 2 of Teamfight Tactics, there are numerous powerful team compositions that align well with the Hyper-Roll strategy.
Team Compositions Suitable for Hyper-Roll Strategy in Teamfight Tactics Season 2
1. Light Tribe.
The Light tribe effect activates at 3/6/9, each time a Light tribe champion dies, the remaining champions of the Light tribe will regenerate 20% of their maximum health and gain an additional 10%/25%/50% attack speed.
Operating the Light tribe with the Hyper-Roll strategy is straightforward. You simply need to purchase low-cost Light tribe champions such as Nasus, Vayne, Jax, and save up to 50 gold as quickly as possible. After the Rock round, we'll spend all our gold to acquire as many 3-star Light tribe champions as possible. Once we've spent all our gold, we'll stop rolling and play as usual, aiming to reach level 8 to complete the necessary team composition.
2. Woodland/Druid + Predator Tribe.
In the current testing phase of Teamfight Tactics season 2 on PBE, Woodland/Druid and Predator do not synergize with any other Tribes/Origins. What makes this composition strong with the Hyper Roll strategy is how easily you can upgrade champions to 3 stars within this setup. This composition heavily relies on Kogmaw to deal damage while the Woodland/Druid units act as tanks in the frontline.
3. Inferno Tribe.
Inferno/Summoner is considered the strongest composition of season 2 due to its plethora of winning tools. The reason to use this composition with the Hyper-Roll strategy is the power of 3-star Zyra, whose ability to summon swarms of minions can easily help you win battles and drain a lot of opponent health. During the mid-game, Kindred becomes the key damage dealer as they can activate all 3 of their Tribes/Origins within this setup.
