In today's 4.0 era, with nearly all smartphones equipped with GPS, you can easily send your location to loved ones and friends via phone. Apart from Google Maps, you can pinpoint your location on social networking apps like Zalo or Facebook Messenger.

The GPS tracking feature is pre-installed on most modern smartphones. Many apps like Google Maps, Facebook Messenger, Zalo, etc., leverage this feature to help users send their location via phone to loved ones and friends, useful in various situations such as:

- Notifying your current location
- Finding the location of your friends, family
- Locating your phone when accidentally dropped or lost

Step 1: Open the Google Maps app on your phone
Step 2: Tap on the Profile icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Scroll down and select Share location.

Step 4: Tap on the Share location info button.
Step 5: In the Share location window, you can set:
- Duration of sharing: Schedule to turn off location sharing or keep it on until you turn it off.
- Recipient: Choose the person you want to share your location with.
Additionally, you can share your Google Maps location via other apps like Messenger, Email, Whatsapp, etc.

Step 6: Immediately, your current location will be shared with the recipient. If you are the recipient, you can view the distance, request Directions as illustrated below.

Step 1: Open the Facebook Messenger app and log in on your phone.
Step 2: Tap on the conversation with the person you want to share your location with.
Step 3: Tap on the Plus icon next to the message input field.

Step 4: Select the plane icon to share your current location.
Step 5: Tap on the Start Live Location button.

Your location will be shared on the map, and the other party can tap on the Live Location button in the chat section to view your location immediately.

Here's how to share your location on Zalo via mobile:

Step 1: Open the Zalo chat app on your phone.
Step 2: In the chat list, select the person you want to share your location with.
Step 3: Tap on the plus icon in the message input field.

Step 4: Select Location from the feature list.
Step 5: In the Location window, press the Send Your Current Location button.

Step 6: Press Yes to confirm once again.
